Its not that I read a lot of books, but I do read books. Of every genre, of every writer, of any kind of story but only if they are in English or Bangla. I couldn’t tell you which book was my favorite because every story leaves a mark in me in one way or the other. And so, that should make it clear to everyone that I have a habit of relating my life to certain characters in the stories.

When I first found out “I wrote this for you”, ( Thanks in tons to Huey Haque for her RTs on Twitter. ) I was stupefied. I had never imagined anyone being able to put the thoughts in my mind with such simplicity and such beauty , into words. These lines were being held true by not only me, but scores of people reading them from all over the world ! Moreover, it wasn’t just the lines. The photographs attached to each entry made me realize how two different mediums of art can bring forth such powerful emotions together. There wasn’t a day when I wouldn’t think of some of the entries I’ve discovered here. They’ve been a source of inspiration, a source of defining happiness, and a source of finding peace in sadness.

And then out came the book, and I knew I had to get it somehow. When I found out about the ireadiwrite giveaway, I skipped on the information of having to write a review once I got the e-book. But now that I’ve managed to etch in the photographs and the writings happily in my mind, I must say I’ve been left at utter peace.

The book has been divided into 4 parts – Sun, Moon, Rain, Stars. At first when I read about the divisions I had no clue how it was even possible, but now it all makes sense. The I wrote this For You book tells you a story, and best thing of all, it’s the story of You. At the end of the book, its up to YOU to decide how you find meaning in the setting of each post. For me, every post felt related to the one before and the one after, and it felt as if they made up a story that was only decipherable to me.

True to what’s on the blog, the book was simple, savvy and most of all, it felt close to the heart.

So get the book, people, don’t just read it, understand it, feel it, and allow it to take you over.

Because in the end, its not just a book with a few lines and some really good photographs, its what I want you to see and feel. Because, I wrote this for You.

=)

PS : Couldn’t help but quote my favorite entry in the book. ( page 79 )

The Seraphim And The Pirate
You were better to the ones that were worse for you. And worse to
the one that was better for you.
